Rockford Fury News Release

Hammond, IN. The ABA Hammond Rollers have refuted the posting on www.oursportscentral.com relating to the operations of their team.

According to Denise Pulphus, team owner, "It is true that Barry, W.V. and Tameka resigned. We wish them well. However, none of the other information was accurate. Specifically, with the help of the ABA, we have a complete plan in place to be a successful ABA team. We have sponsorships, a website, an office, phones. And we are in good standing with the league. With the decision of Kenny Battle, we have a very experienced GM and coach and will have a competitive team. We will have a great venue and have had nothing but excellent support from Hammond and the entire NW Indiana region."

Joe Newman, ABA CEO added, "Hammond is in good standing with the league and we are very confident that they will be a successful operation and a credit to the ABA." For more information, call 630 631 6364 or email krb33@comcast.net or visit www.hammondrollers.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
