(Erie, PA) - The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, announce that Pittsburgh Pirates great Dave Parker will make a guest appearance at Jerry Uht Park on Thursday, July 5 when the SeaWolves take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at 7:05p.

Parker, the National League's Most Valuable Player in 1978, will be on hand to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, sign autographs and meet SeaWolves fans. During his Major League Baseball career, Parker was a seven-time All-Star selection, won two National League batting titles, and earned three Gold Glove Awards. Parker played on two World Series Championship teams, the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates and the 1989 Oakland Athletics.

"The SeaWolves are excited to welcome Dave Parker to Jerry Uht Park," said SeaWolves President Greg Coleman. "We look forward to giving SeaWolves fans and Pirates fans alike the opportunity to meet one of the game's best all-around players."

Fans can attend an Exclusive Meet & Greet with Dave Parker featuring pre-game autographs, a Box Seat ticket, and a 90-minute all-you-can-eat buffet dinner in the SeaWolves Picnic Garden for $25.

Parker will be available to sign autographs for all fans for one hour beginning in the first inning. To help accommodate as many fans as possible, fans will be limited to one autograph per person and will not be permitted to pose for photos.

The SeaWolves continue a seven-game homestand on Monday night as they begin a three-game series with the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians). Monday is Buck Night, featuring Smith's Hot Dogs, Pepsi fountain drinks, popcorn and draft beer for just $1 each.
