
Aeros Welcome New Outfielder

AKRON, OH - The Cleveland Indians announced Monday that outfielder Jordan Casas has been promoted to the Akron Aeros from the Class-A Lake County Captains.
Casas, 24, will be in uniform tonight when the Aeros begin a three-game series on the road against the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers). A third-year pro out of Long Beach State, Casas will be making his Double-A debut.
So far this season, Casas was hitting .263, with no homers and two RBI's in 10 games with the Captains. He began the season at High-A Carolina, appearing in two games, and going 0-4. Casas split last season between Lake County and Kinston, hitting a combined .269 with 24 RBI's. He is still looking for his first pro homer.
The Indians selected Casas in the 40th round of the 2010 draft.
The Aeros roster now stands at 23 players.
