(Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - A pair of home runs off the bat of Everett's LF Jose Rivero helped the Aquasox to a 11-4 victory over the Vancouver Canadians on Satruday night before a crowd of 4,348 out at Nat Bailey Stadium on Saturday night.
The Aquasox scored eight runs through the first five innings of Saturday's victory with LF Jose Rivero the catalyst hitting the first of two home runs on the night to go along with a sharply hit single to finish 3-for-5 on the night.
Vancouver broke the Everett shutout bid in the bottom of the 5th inning as Canadians 3B Marcos Luis drove a ball towards Aquasox 3B Hawkins Gebbers who couldn't handle it allowing RF Jose Crisotomo to score from second base.
The C's would score three runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with RF Jose Crisotomo, 2B Ryne Jernigan and C Rodney Rutherford all coming around to score to cut the deficit to 9-4 heading to the 8th inning.
Everett would pull away with two more runs to lock down their second straight victory over the Canadians and improve to 39-36 (.520) on the season while Vancouver falls to 35-40 (.467).
