BOISE, Idaho - Brent Ebinger struck out eight men in five solid innings, while the Boise bullpen preserved the fourth shutout of the year for the Hawks, who defeated the Spokane Indians, 1-0, before 2,956 fans at Memorial Stadium.
The lone run of the game was scored in the third, as Arismendy Alcantara singled home Kyung-Min Na from second.
Spokane had chances, as five of their runners stranded were in scoring position.
Alcantara went 3-for-4 in the win for the Hawks, with Pin-Chieh Chen adding two hits. Alejandro Selen had a double and triple for the Indians.
The two teams split the season series 6-6.
Boise closes out the season this weekend, opening a three-game series against Yakima.
