The event, which is presented by Mike's Hard Pink Lemonade, will take place on Saturday, July 16 at 6:00 PM. The short walk around Avista Stadium in support for Breast Cancer finishes with participants being recognized on the field during a special ceremony before the game. Indians players will wear pink jerseys which will be auctioned off during the game against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. The Susan G. Komen Eastern Washington affiliate will once again be the primary beneficiary of the day's festivities.

"We are very excited for our 11th annual Pitch for the Cure. Money raised from the Pitch for the Cure funds local programs to help breast cancer patients and their families," said Susan G. Komen Foundation Executive Director, Becky Duffey. "The Indians have been an amazing partner for us over the years, and we look forward to this special game."

The cost of the walk is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Participants will receive a T-shirt, a donation in their name to the Susan G. Komen Eastern Washington affiliate, and a ticket to the Spokane Indians baseball game that night, which is Fireworks & Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Valley Glass, KHQ, Rock 94 1/2, and KXLY 920.

Last year, the Spokane Indians donated a total of $10,778 to the Susan G. Komen Eastern Washington affiliate. Since 2012, the Spokane Indians have donated over $28,000 to the Komen Foundation. Seventy-five percent of all funds donated to the Susan G. Komen Eastern Washington affiliate stays local and is given back to help those with breast cancer in Eastern Washington.
