FORT WAYNE, IN (December 12, 2012) - The Detroit Pistons announced today that rookies Khris Middleton and Kim English will join the Fort Wayne Mad Ants for three games over the next week.
Middleton, a 6'7" forward, was drafted 39th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Pistons. The Texas A&M product has appeared in three games this season averaging 1.3 points, .7 assists and .7 steals. He scored a season-high four points and recorded two steals at Houston (11/10).
English, the 44th pick of the 2012 NBA Draft from the University of Missouri, has seen action in 10 games with the Pistons this season. The 6'6" guard scored a season-high eight points twice (vs. Houston on 10/31 and at the L.A. Lakers on 11/4). English is averaging 3.2 points, .5 rebounds and .7 assists while shooting 50% (8-16) from three-point range.
The Pistons' assignees will arrive in Fort Wayne tomorrow and appear in Friday night's home game against the Maine Red Claws which tips off at 7:30 PM. The duo will remain in Fort Wayne as the team hosts the Springfield Armor on Saturday, December 15th (7:30 PM tip-off), and for the home game against Canton on Tuesday, December 18th (7:00 PM tip-off).
