Detroit Pistons Assign Kim English and Khris Middleton to NBA D-League Affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants

NEW YORK, Dec. 12, 2012 - The Detroit Pistons today assigned rookies Kim English and Khris Middleton to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Pistons' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the 44th and 45th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while English and Middleton become the 32nd and 33rd NBA players to have been assigned this season.

English (6-6, 200, Missouri) has appeared in 10 games for the Pistons this season, averaging 3.2 points and 9.2 minutes. Selected by the Pistons in the second round (44th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, English was a four-year contributor for the Tigers, finishing his NCAA career averaging 11.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 24.2 minutes in 141 games.

Middleton (6-7, 215, Texas A&M) has appeared in three games for Detroit this year, averaging 1.3 points and 4.0 minutes. Selected in the second round (39th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Pistons, Middleton played three seasons for the Aggies, averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 26.0 minutes in 87 career NCAA games.

English and Middleton are expected to join the Mad Ants today and be available tonight when the team travels to face the Canton Charge at 7:00 p.m. ET.
