
Pirates Sign OL Joshua Frazier for 2023

The Massachusetts Pirates have signed offensive lineman Joshua Frazier for the upcoming season. Frazier played four seasons at the University of Alabama and won National Championships with the Crimson Tide in the 2015 and 2017 seasons.
In 2018, Frazier was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round with the 246th overall pick in the NFL Draft. After going to camp with the Steelers, the 6'3", 340 lb. lineman was signed by the Detroit Lions and joined their practice squad.
Frazier, who hails from Springdale, AR, then signed with the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football in 2019. Most recently Frazier signed a contract with the Orlando Guardians of the XFL.
One of the Nation's top prep players from Har-Ber High School in Arkansas, Frazier enrolled at Alabama and played as a defensive lineman, seeing the field in all four seasons in Tuscaloosa, In 2014 he appeared in five games recording a pair of sacks. In 2015 he took part in six games and won his first of two National Championships when the Tide defeated Clemson 45 to 40.
Frazier played in all 14 games as a junior and in his final season of 2017, he again participated in all 14 games which included making a tackle in Alabama's 26-23 overtime victory over Georgia in the National Championship game.
In a total of 39 collegiate games, Frazier made 29 tackles, had 5.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, defended three passes and forced one fumble.
