Quad City Steamwheelers Sign Quaterback Damion May

Quad City Steamwheelers News Release
The Quad City Steamwheelers, defending Champions of the IFL's Eastern Conference, have signed quarterback Damion May.
In 2021 with the Green Bay Blizzard, May completed 54 of 88 passes (61.4%) for 489 passing yards, 16 touchdown passes and only 1 interception. On the ground, May carried the ball 38 times for 122 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.
Director of Player Personnel Ryan Michael told SteamwheelersFootball.com: "Damion is a dynamic play-maker with IFL experience. He's a difficult player to prepare for because he can make plays both in and out of structure. During his time with Green Bay, he proved that he can produce on offense, limit mistakes and compete with some of the best defenses in this league. I'm excited to see what he brings to camp."
In 2017 at Alabama A&M, May produced 528 total yards and 5 total touchdowns.
In Quad City, May will have the opportunity to learn under 2X IFL Offensive Player of the Year, quarterback E.J. Hilliard.
"We're excited to welcome Damion into the Wheeler Family and get him acclimated to our system. If you watch his film you see the presence he commands on the field and could complete a lethal QB system that we continue to build here in QC" said Steamwheelers Head Coach Cory Ross.
