WORCESTER, MA - The Massachusetts Pirates have signed kicker Jimmy Camacho.

Camacho most recently played with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League. In nine games last season Camacho made 14 of 20 field goals and converted on 16 of 17 extra points. That was his second stint with the Lions as he was an off-season team member in 2020.

2021 was a busy year for the 5'10', 180 lb. kicker from Perris, CA. After going to camp with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Camacho kicked in the IFL with the Tucson Sugar Skulls. In five games he made 6 of 11 three pointers and was 22 of 24 on PAT's. Camacho was the Week 17 IFL Player of the Week when he was seven for seven on extra points and made two field goals, including a 50 yarder, as Tucson defeated Duke City 59-56.

The former Fresno State University star began his pro career in 2019 as a member of the IFL's Arizona Rattlers. His 121 points led all kickers and his 106 made extra points were also tops in the league. At season's end he was selected as an All-IFL First Team performer. He also made a 31-yard field goal in the United Bowl as Arizona fell to Sioux Falls 56-53.

Camacho began his collegiate career at Riverside Community College and later transferred to Fresno State where he played from 2015-2017. As a senior, Camacho was an All-Mountain West Second Team selection as he scored 116 points; second most in the conference and 19th in the Nation. His 25 made field goals set a single season record for the Bulldogs and tied him for second in the land. In the 2017 Hawaii Bowl, Camacho set game records for made field goals and attempts as he was four of six in the Bulldogs 33-27 victory over Houston.

In 24 games at Fresno State, Camacho made 27 of 36 field goal attempts and was 41 of 42 on extra points.
