Pirates Sign Justin Donati

Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that they have signed Justin Donati to a Professional Tryout Agreement.

Donati, a 23 year-old from Oakville, Ontario, had four goals and 14 assists for 18 points in 11 games with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. At the time of the signing Donati was the leading rookie scorer in the ECHL and tied for second in overall scoring.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound forward joined the Pirates this afternoon in Wilkes-Barre prior to their game against the Penguins tonight.

The Pirates return to action tonight in the first of three on the road when they travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face-off against the Penguins in a 7:05 p.m. start. The game can be heard live on New Talk WLOB 95.5 FM and on-line at www.portlandpirates.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m. Thursday Portland will take on the Rochester Americans at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. The trip will end Sunday afternoon in Bridgeport against the Sound Tigers.

The next Pirates home game takes place Tuesday, November 17th when the Norfolk Admirals visit the CCCC for a 7 p.m. start.
