Binghamton Senators News Release

NORFOLK, V.A. - The B-Sens failed to sweep the Norfolk Admirals in back-to-back games at the Scope, dropping their second game of a two game series with the Ads.

Mike Brodeur began the game between the pipes for the B-Sens, allowing three Admirals goals within the first 20 minutes of play on only nine shots.

At 2:06 of the first period, Brandon Bochenski's ninth goal of the season gave the Ads a quick 1-0 lead. Jurai Simek and Blair Jones earned the helpers on the goal.

1:14 later, following a tripping penalty to the B-Sens Geoff Kinrade, Ty Wisehart's power play goal increased Norfolk's lead to 2-0. Bochenski and Simek assisted on Wisehart's tally, each earning their second points of the evening.

Adding insult to injury, Mike Lundin's goal with 46 seconds remaining in the first period, send Norfolk to the dressing room with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Andy Chiodo stepped in to relieve Brodeur of duty in the second period of play, but Jones redirected Bochenski's shot into the net at 5:26 of the period to push the Ads into a 4-0 lead.

Into the third period of play, B-Sens captain Denis Hamel finally puts Bingo on the board at 7:38, netting his third tally of the season. Ryan Keller and Erik Karlsson credited with the assists. Bochenski answers for the Admirals though nearly 30 seconds later, scoring his second goal of the night, and earning his fourth point in the contest regaining Norfolk's four goal lead, 5-1.

Kaspars Daugavins scores his third goal of the season at 8:47 narrowing the scoring gap to just three goals. With 53 seconds remaining in the game, Daugavins' second goal of the night found the net, but the B-Sens failed to muster any more offense and the game ended in favor of the Ads 5-3.

Binghamton makes their way home to Binghamton before trekking north for a 7:30 p.m. match Friday, Nov. 13 versus the Adirondack Phantoms.
