Pirates Sign Gallington and Davis

WORCESTER, MA - The Massachusetts Pirates, Champions of the Indoor Football League, have signed offensive lineman Deveric Gallington and linebacker Titus Davis.
Gallington is a veteran lineman who played both guard and center at Texas Tech. In 2013 the 6'4" 350 lb. Gallington signed as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders and later that same season with the Arizona Cardinals. He continued his professional career in the Arena Football League in 2014 with the Spokane Shock for two seasons and then with the Portland Steel in 2015. Over the three year period Gallington had 11 receptions for 61 yards and six carries for seven yards.
In 2019 the former Red Raider signed with the Washington Valor of the AFL. After playing in The Spring League the following season, he saw the field in two games with the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League in 2021.
Gallington, who hails from North Richland Hills, TX made his mark as a top flight offensive lineman with Texas Tech from 2008 through 2012. After a redshirt season, he played in nine games as a freshman. Gallington then started 38 consecutive games over his last three seasons and as a senior, helped the Red Raiders to gain 1,674 yards rushing, which was the team's highest total since 1998.
Davis comes to Massachusetts after a standout career at the University of Central Florida. Davis played four seasons for the Knights, taking the field in 40 games, starting 25.
A second team All-American Athletic Conference selection as a senior in 2018, Davis established career highs with 6.5 sacks and 17 tackles for a loss.
A resident of Atlanta, GA, Davis (6'3" 250 lbs.) played three seasons at linebacker before moving to defensive line. He ended his time with the Knights making 150 tackles with four forced fumbles, made one fumble recovery, had eight sacks, 22 tackles for a loss, an interception and added one quarterback hurry.
