Rich's Golf Center for Fun this Sunday, July 20th: Come spend a fun family day with the Pioneers. The team and dance team will be at Rich's Golf Center in Wyoming on Wyoming Avenue Sunday, July 20th from 1-3 PM. The team is there to have fun while playing miniature golf, testing their skills in the batting cages and playing on the water ride ... join the team for a good time. Rich's golf Center is donating half of all the money spent by guests between 1-3PM to the Pioneers/United Way Charity Fund.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE BOOSTER CLUB VOLUNTEERS – Booster Club End-of-the-Season Player Dinner and Awards is coming up this Monday: The Pioneers Booster Club is hosting their End-of-The-Season dinner on July 21st at the Ramada in downtown Wilkes-Barre. Cocktail hour begins at 6PM and dinner at 7PM. The players and staff will be in attendance. For more information, please contact: ClarkeB@lackawanna.edu.

RECAP: WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON 55, Albany 49 OT: CHRIS BODEN found COSMO DEMATTEO for a 25-yard strike in overtime to lift the Pioneers (6-8) over the first place Conquest (11-3). Dematteo, who was named Game MVP, totaled 13 catches for 143 yards and four touchdowns on the night. Albany's RYAN VENA threw for 310 yards and seven touchdowns, including two to COREY HILL. Hill, who had 11 receptions for 144 yards, caught a seven-yard touchdown at the buzzer in the fourth quarter to send the game into the extra session.

Playoff Qualification: The champion of the American Conference will meet the champion of the National Conference in the 2003 ArenaCup. Conference champions will be determined in a three-round playoff format. In each conference, the three division champions and the three teams with the next best overall records qualify (6 teams per conference). The top two seeds (among division champions) have a bye in the first round. The remaining division champion will host the lowest seeded wildcard team. The first seeded wildcard team will host the second seeded wildcard team. The lowest remaining seed from the first round plays at the top seeded division champion in the second round. The other first round winner plays at the second seeded division champion. Round three is the Conference Finals. The winners of the Conference Finals advance to the 2003 ArenaCup. In both the Conference Finals and ArenaCup, the team with the best overall record is the host.

WEDDING BELLS!! The Pioneers would like to congratulate former Pioneers kicker Jimmy Kibble and the new Mrs. Michelle Kibble, who tied the knot this past Saturday in Mannassas, VA. The happy couple will reside in Virginia while Jimmy explores kicking opportunities in the NFL and AFL. Best of luck to Jimmy and Michelle from the Pioneers family!
