
Pioneers Add OF Jeremy Brostrom and Release OF Brian Baker

The Elmira Pioneers have added outfielder Jeremy Brostorm to the roster. The Peachtree, Georgia native out of West Georgia College had played in the Detroit Tigers organization the past couple of season. Outfielder Brian Baker was given his unconditional release. He will be returning to college in the fall.
Brostrom is a lefty batter and thrower and is of rookie eligibility in the Northern League. This year, he was with the Tigers low-A long season team in the Midwest League, the West Michigan Whitecaps. He hit .256, 0, 13 in 42 games with the Whitecaps through June 28. Brostrom is 6'3" tall and is 24 years old.
