Edinburg Roadrunners News Release
EDINBURG, Texas---The Edinburg Roadrunners of the North American League announced today that they have acquired Wilmer Pino from the Winnipeg Goldeyes (American Association) for a player to be named later.
In 2011, Pino played in six games for the Goldeyes and hit .238 with one walk and recorded five hits.

"We are excited to get him back," said Roadrunner Manager Steve Maddock, "He was a premiere player in the league last season and he will add to the speed of this ball club."
Pino is expected to be the starting second baseman come opening day when the Roadrunners open the 2011 season on Wednesday May 25th at Edinburg Baseball Stadium against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings.
An exhibition game is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10:30 am at Edinburg Baseball Stadium between the Roadrunners and the McAllen Thunder. Local students will be in attendance for the first Kid's Day of the season.
