Colts Release Three Players Before Today's Exhibition Game

San Angelo, Texas---The Colts released three players to cut the roster down for today's exhibition double-header against the Roswell Invaders of the Pecos League. Manager Doc Edwards released left-handed pitchers Scott Crook and Frank James, as well as right-hander Corey Morehouse.

Crook and Morehouse are both products of Angelo State. Crook pitched for the Rams in 2010 after transferring in from Tarleton State and pitched for the Colts briefly last summer, appearing in four games. Morehouse was invited to training camp after impressing the coaches at the Colts' tryout. He pitched for Angelo State from 2007-10.

James is a nine-year veteran of professional baseball. After being drafted by Oakland in the 38th round of 1999 draft, Frank pitched for San Angelo in 2006 and 2008.

The Colts will whittle the roster down to 22 players before Wednesday's season opener. Game one of today's twin bill starts at 2:30 PM and tickets will be discounted at three dollars.
