Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have launched their second annual online PINK Auction through the Canadian Football Leagues auction site on CFL.ca
Continuing on the success of the auction last year, the Blue Bombers look to continue to raise funds for the Keeping Abreast Foundation for Breast Cancer Research in Manitoba.
This year the Blue Bombers will be auctioning off Pink Hats from current players on the roster as well as Blue Bomber alumni greats such as Milt Stegall, Ken Ploen, Rod Hill and James Murphy.
Something new for this year's auction will be the Game Used Footballs with a pink CFL logo that were used during Winnipeg's stunning come from behind victory over the Montreal Alouettes at Canad Inns Stadium on the afternoon of Saturday, October 22nd, 2010.
The Blue Bomber Quarterbacks showed their support this year by practicing in pink practice jerseys throughout the month of October and those are all available during the auction.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Keeping Abreast Foundation, for whom pink merchandise was sold during the month of October at the Bomber Store and online at bluebombers.com.
The auction is live now and runs until noon on Sunday, November 13th, 2011 CST.
