Tri-City Storm News Release
For the fourth year, the Tri-City Americans will once again color the ice pink. Players will don their pink jerseys to raise awareness of women's cancer and patient support at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. The annual event, sponsored by Fred Meyer, will take place Friday night, February 13 at 7:05 pm. The player's game worn jerseys will be up for bid in a Silent Auction. A second silent auction of donated goods and services will also be going on. The Olie and Stu section will be filled with families from the Breast Cancer support group and the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer support group. The opening game puck drop will be made by cancer survivor Rochelle Bassett and her family. Pink Ice Night t-shirts, sponsored by US Linen, will be available for donations. T-shirts can be purchased prior to the game at the Cancer Center or one week prior at the Sunday February 8th game, and of course at Pink Ice Night. One hundred percent of the funds raised from the event will remain in our community to support services for women with cancer and fund free screenings and early detection.
Tickets to the game are available at the Cancer Center for $13, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Cancer Center. For information contact the Events Coordinator at 737-3374.
