Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that left wing Tuomas Pihlman has been recalled by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League. Pihlman, 22, went scoreless with a minus one rating in one game for New Jersey earlier this season. He has skated in three NHL games over his career since the beginning of the 2003-04 campaign. The native of Espoo, Finland ranked second on the River Rats with nine (5-4) points in 10 games this year. One of Albany's assistant captains, Pihlman recorded his first AHL hat trick against the Hershey Bears on November 11, 2005.

The River Rats return to action on Friday, November 18, 2005 when they visit the Springfield Falcons in an 8:05pm face-off at the MassMutual Center. Albany returns to Pepsi Arena to take on the Binghamton Senators at "Hooray For Hollywood" Night this Saturday at 5:00pm. Fans can walk the red carpet, greet the paparazzi and can win prizes for coming dressed as their favorite movie character.

The Albany River Rats, owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., are in their 13th American Hockey League campaign and serve as the National Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
