Pierce Earns CHL Player Of The Week Honors

(Odessa, TX) - Today the Central Hockey League announced that Jackalopes forward, Jeff Pierce, has been named as the league's "Player of the Week".

In three games last week, Pierce recorded five goals and two assists for seven points. He recorded a pair of goals in the Jacks win over Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday then followed up with his first career hat trick on Friday at Amarillo. In Odessa's Saturday shootout loss to Bossier-Shreveport, Pierce also had an assist.

Pierce is currently in his second season with the Jackalopes. This is the first time in his career he's received "Player of the Week" honors. He leads the team with five goals this season, and is tied for second on the team with eight points overall.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
