PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, are pleased to announce that traffic on its official web site, www.phxroadrunners.com, was up nearly 50 percent during the second half of the 2007-08 season compared to the same time in 2006-07.
As the RoadRunners made a strong push to the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs, the web site had 640,759 page views from January through April compared to 427,519 in 2007. PhxRoadRunners.com also set records for the total number of unique visitors in the months of February and March, and the 12,009 unique visitors in March was the highest total since October 2006.
Launched in August 2005, PhxRoadRunners.com has welcomed over 250,000 unique visitors and generated more than six million page views since its inception. The web site was designed in conjunction with InfinityProSports.com and is maintained through the efforts of Director of Broadcasting and Team Services Dan Weiss and Marketing Coordinator Kyle Pottinger, with assistance from the award-winning staff at Suns.com, the official web site of the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association.
PhxRoadRunners.com was selected as the 2005-06 ECHL Web Site of the Year.
