POSTSEASON STORYLINES
* The Mercury is looking to become just the third team in WNBA history to repeat as champions.
* Reigning WNBA MVP Diana Taurasi, who has won a championships every time she has reached the postseason, is looking to cement her legacy as one of the best players all-time by adding a third WNBA ring to her already long list of titles which include three NCAA Championships with the University of Connecticut and two Olympic gold medals.
* President and General Manager Ann Meyers Drysdale has once again put together a championship contending team acquiring Candice Dupree in the offseason and bringing two-time WNBA champion Kara Braxton to the Mercury front court mid-season. Also key in the Mercury's repeat bid is the re-signing of All-Star guard/forward Penny Taylor and guard Temeka Johnson prior to the 2010 season.
* After one season with the Mercury, Dupree has made a legitimate case as the best forward in the WNBA. This year she will have her chance to prove that in the postseason for the first time in her career.
* Veterans Braxton and Tangela Smith bring the most playoff experience to the table on the Mercury roster combining for 12 years, 77 games and four championship rings.
