MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed 6-4 center Jessica Adair to a contract. In a related move, the Lynx suspended center Nicky Anosike, effective yesterday. The Lynx suspended Anosike for her decision to not accompany the team on its three-game road trip, which began last night in Seattle.
Adair spent the majority of training camp with Minnesota, playing in one preseason game where she totaled 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 26 minutes against Chicago. She joined the team today in Los Angeles will wear #1 for the Lynx.
In 31 games this season, Anosike holds averages of 9.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 29.9 minutes per game.
