
Philadelphia Union Trade Jordan Harvey to Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Chester, Pa. (July 7, 2011) - Philadelphia Union today announced that defender Jordan Harvey has been traded to Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for allocation money. Harvey joined the Union via the Major League Soccer Expansion Draft on November 25, 2009, thus becoming a Union original. Per Major League Soccer and club policy, terms of the trade will not be disclosed.
Harvey came to Philadelphia from the Colorado Rapids, where he made his professional debut in MLS against D.C. United in 2008. Since joining the Union, the UCLA grad has started all but one of 46 league matches with Philadelphia, logging a total of 3,861 minutes. Harvey scored his first professional goal with the Union in a match against Toronto FC on April 15, 2010.
