CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union released their 2016 MLS primary jersey this afternoon, via the club's official digital media accounts.

Fans can preorder the jersey online today at http://bit.ly/20HcPh4. The orders will ship on March 6 and fans will also get first look at the jersey in the Union Shop on the same day starting at 12 p.m. at Talen Energy Stadium.

The new kit takes the snake featured in the Philadelphia Union crest and expands its presence to various aspects of the jersey. The center gold stripe features a snakeskin texture, and the bottom of the jersey features a golden snake jock-tag. On the inside collar, the words "We Are One" are scripted next to a snake, making reference to the Union's identity.

The jersey also includes a rubber crest, in contrast to the woven crest in previous jerseys. As all 2016 MLS jerseys, the Adidas stripes have been moved to under the arm.

"I feel a good energy wearing this jersey," Philadelphia Union forward C.J. Sapong said. "It is complete with the snake theme, which rounds out the vibe. I am super excited to be wearing this jersey in 2016."
