Philadelphia Union News Release

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today the release of the club's first-ever video game, "Iron Phang", ahead of Saturday's rivalry match against D.C. United. The launch makes the Union among the first teams in Major League Soccer to release their own video game, that fans can play now at IronPhang.com. The video game, coded completely in-house by Philadelphia Union staff, can be played on Google Chrome using plugged in gaming controllers or a designated set of keyboard keys.

The innovative web-based side-scroller begins just outside of Subaru Park beneath the Commodore Barry Bridge, where D.C. United mascot, Talon, steals the Supporter's Shield. Players will embark on a mission through Subaru Park, that includes familiar sights such as the Union locker room, the playing field, concessions, and video board, travel to D.C. and battle as Iron Phang to win it back. Fans will also encounter some familiar Philadelphia Union faces and local Philly personalities as they progress through the game.

The Boys in Blue return home to Subaru Park for Saturday's rivalry match on July 17 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
