Club de Foot Montreal News Release

MONTREAL - Based on updated cross-border public health legislation enacted on July 5 by the Canadian government, CF Montréal and MLS have announced on Wednesday that the Club will be able to host FC Cincinnati at Stade Saputo this Saturday, July 17 at 7:30pm EDT (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690), a game presented by Milk2Go.

According to public health guidelines for public activities and outdoor events in Quebec, the maximum allowed capacity will be 5,000 spectators.

"The Club welcomes the news with great enthusiasm and excitement, considering it will be our first home match at Stade Saputo since September 9, 2020," said CF Montréal president and CEO Kevin Gilmore. "After all this time away, we are truly happy to finally be able to play at home. The past few months have been very difficult for our players and staff, who had to go into exile, but they have shown tremendous resilience. Our supporters have also been remarkably patient throughout this period, and we can't wait to see them at Stade Saputo on Saturday. We've been working closely with the league, the two other Canadian clubs and the different government levels to be able to play in Montreal. We hope this is one more step in the right direction towards a full return."

Tickets for this game will be exclusively available for our season ticket Members, who can use their Membership credit to confirm their tickets online. For all Members to get a fair opportunity of obtaining tickets, it will be possible to confirm seats at the start of the presale period, on a first come, first served basis, which starts this Thursday, July 15, at 10am. Given the capacity restrictions, Members will only be allowed to confirm the same number of tickets they have in their account. If there are any additional tickets left after the presale period, it will be possible for Members confirm additional tickets. Members will receive an email with all details shortly.

The Club will also give 350 tickets to frontline workers and their families in Section 123. The game will be dedicated to them as a tribute to their colossal work.

The Stade Saputo gates will be open from 6:30pm. Please consult Stade Saputo's COVID-19 Guest Experience Protocols
