Philadelphia Union II Acquires Midfielder David Rabadan

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union II announced today that the club has acquired midfielder David Rabadán via loan from Atlético Albacete, whose parent club is Albacete Balompié of the Spanish Segunda División. Pending league and federation approval, Rabadán will be added to Union II's active roster following receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P1 Visa.

"David is a developing prospect coming to us from the Spanish youth system," said Union Sporting Director Ernst Tanner. "We are happy to add him to our team and look forward to seeing him grow within our system."

"David is a player who is good with the ball at his feet and can lead a counterattack which fits perfectly in our system," said Union II Head coach Sven Gartung. "We look forward to getting him on the pitch and integrated with the team."

Rabadán has been with Atlético Albacete the last three years, Albacete Balompié's U-18 team. He became a regular in the Atlético Albacete lineup in the 2018-19 season seeing action in 25 matches, starting in 18 and scoring one goal. This season he became a mainstay, starting 19 matches and scoring another goal.
