Brenden Aaronson's goal in the first half was the eventual game winner in the Philadelphia Union's (5-2-3, 18 pts) 3-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls (3-5-2, 11 pts) on Sunday night at Red Bull Arena.
Newly acquired Young Designated Player Dru Yearwood made his first MLS appearance as a substitute in the 83rd minute.
New York has lost back-to-back home matches across all competitions for the first time since March 23-April 6, 2019.
The Red Bulls have been held scoreless in back-to-back home matches for the first time since 2012. The last time the Red Bulls were held scoreless in back-to-back matches at RBA was in the regular-season finale against Sporting KC on October 20 and then in a playoff match against D.C. United on November 8.
New York concludes MLS's Phase 1 schedule with D.C. United on Saturday. Kickoff at Audi Field is set for 7 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio.
