
Pheasants Begin Quest for Championship Against Shreveport-Bossier This Week

For the second time in three years, the Sioux Falls Pheasants will have an opportunity to win an American Association championship. This week the Pheasants will open play against the Shreveport-Bossier Captains, the South Division champion. The Captains defeated the Pensacola Pelicans in a decisive fifth game on Sunday night. The Pheasants earlier swept the Lincoln Saltdogs in three games to win the North Division championship.
The American Association Championship Series begins at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7 in Shreveport. Shreveport will also host Game 2. The Pheasants host games 3, 4, and 5 on September 10-12 at Sioux Falls Stadium. Games 3 and 4 begin at 7:05 p.m., and Game 5 is set for 5:05 p.m. The series is a best-of-five format. All games will be broadcast on Sioux Falls Sports Radio 1230-AM KWSN and www.kwsn.com.
