Youngstown Phantoms News Release
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown Phantoms, in partnership with local NBC affiliate WFMJ, are pleased to announce the creation of "Second Harvest Food Bank Night" for the club's game on Friday, January 24 against Team USA at 7:05 pm.
All guests who bring three non-perishable food items to the Covelli Centre for donation will receive a $3 Purple Level ticket, which carries a face value of $12.
"We are delighted to support the Second Harvest Food Bank and their noble efforts with this event," said Phantoms Owner & CEO Bruce J. Zoldan. "We aim to support the community however we can, and we are proud to come together with WFMJ and our fans to benefit the Food Bank with this special game."
All donations will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, which solicits, stores, and distributes food to hunger-relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties. The food bank also values education of the community about hunger in the tri-county area, and advocates for those who are poor.
NBC affiliate WFMJ is a proud partner of this event, and will be promoting it on their airwaves over the next several days.
"We greatly appreciate the continued support of 21 WFMJ, the Youngstown Phantoms and the fans," said Michael Iberis, the executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank. "With the help of this generous community, we were able to distribute 9.2 million pounds of food in the Mahoning Valley this past year."
