Youngstown Phantoms News Release

The Youngstown Phantoms are set for their home opener, Eastern Conference Champion, and Clark Cup Champion banner raising on September 30th. The Phantoms will be conducting the banner raisings prior to the home opener against Team USA. The Phantoms are coming off of a historic season, finishing as the USHL's Clark Cup Champions. The 2022 - 2023 Clark Cup Championship marked the first time the Phantoms finished as the USHL champions since the team joined the league. The Phantoms had only reached the Clark Cup final one time prior in the team's history in 2016. Fittingly, the Phantoms played the Fargo Force in the Clark Cup Final, whom they lost to seven years prior and prevailed winning the first three games to sweep the series. The Phantoms also have over 10 players returning from the Clark Cup championship team to this year's team.

The game will also feature $5 tickets and $2 pint specials as a thank you to the team's fans. Fans will also receive a free calendar magnet highlighting the Phantoms home games for the 2023 - 2024 season (while supplies last). In addition, there will be a tailgate prior to the game. The tailgate will feature multiple food trucks, bounce houses and a dunk tank at no cost to the public. The tailgate will start at 3:00 PM and will conclude at 6:05 PM when doors open. The banner raising is scheduled to happen around 7:00 PM and the home opener game will follow shortly after.
