Phantoms Invite Fans to "Paint the Arena Purple" for Charity this Week

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown Phantoms are partnering with Relay for Life and the March of Dimes to "Paint the Arena Purple" for charity when they host on the Indiana Ice this Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22 at the Covelli Centre.
Thursday the Phantoms are teaming up with Relay for Life to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. The Phantoms are donating $5 from every $10 pre-sale tickets purchased through local Relay for Life chapters back to the charity. Additionally $1 from every walk-up ticket purchased at the Covelli Centre box office the night of the game will be donated as well! On top of that, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a FREE Phantoms and Relay for Life drawstring bag, sponsored by the Purple Cat. Plus, fans will have the chance to bid on commemorative autographed Sam Anas and Austin Cangelosi Phantoms/Relay For Life jerseys as well as an autographed Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins jersey, with all the proceeds going back to charity!
Friday the Phantoms are partnering with March of Dimes to kick off the 2013 March of Babies campaign, presented by ValleyCare Health Systems of Ohio. March for Babies teams from Northside Medical Center, Trumbull Memorial Hospital, General Motors and the local Union Auto Walkers chapter will join many other company and family teams to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the March of Dimes. Tickets are available for the night through any of the current walkers or at the Covelli Centre box office. Again, the Phantoms are donating $5 from every $10 ticket sold before March 19 to the March of Dimes. Ad additionally, $1 from walk-up tickets purchased at the box office the night of the game will go to the charity. To register to walk in March for Babies, go to www.marchforbabies.org.
Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m. EST for both games and the Covelli Centre doors open an hour prior. All fans are encouraged to wear purple to support the Phantoms and, more importantly, these two great causes at the Covelli Centre this Thursday and Friday!
