YOUNGSTOWN, OH- An empty net goal with 11 seconds left in the games seals Youngstowns fate as they fall to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 3-2 at The Stable in Cedar Rapids, IA.
The first period would end scoreless, with great scoring chances by both teams. Most of the action would take place in the last minute of the period as Josh DeLuca and Will Zmolek would drop the gloves.
Thirty-five seconds into the second period, Jason Polin would open up the scoring for Cedar Rapids, as he was able to get the puck past Jonathan Mor. Just over two minutes later, Matthew DeMelis would feed Roman Kraemer for the game tying goal.
In the third, Aidan McDonough would pick up a rebound off of Liam Walsh's shot to give the RoughRiders a 2-1 lead at 10:24. With just over a minute left, Phantoms Head Coach Brad Patterson would pull goaltender Jonathan Mor to give Youngstown an extra attacker.
