Phantoms fall in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA - Four different Admirals scored as Norfolk took the second game of a weekend series with the Philadelphia Phantoms by a 4-0 final Saturday night at Norfolk Scope.

The Admirals put the game out of reach with three goals over a 61-second span in the first period. Dustin Byfuglien started the scoring blitz with a power play tally at 10:31. Forty-five seconds later, Troy Brouwer took a pass in the right circle and snapped a shot past Scott Munroe. Then at 11:32, Adam Berti took a pass in the left circle and wristed it home for the 3-0 advantage.

Rejean Beauchemin made three saves on four shots before he was sidelined with an injury. Munroe came in to make 25 saves on 28 shots. Beauchemin was tagged with the loss, while Corey Crawford earned the win by stopping 22 Phantoms shots.

Philadelphia next takes the ice this Thursday, Oct. 26 when they visit the Chicago Wolves. The next Phantoms home game is Sunday, October 29 against Hershey at the Wachovia Center. The night will feature a wedding during the second intermission, and there will also be a Halloween parade during the evening, with all fans encouraged to come in costume.
