Phantoms Community and Promotions Update

March 13, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Adirondack Phantoms News Release

Have you noticed all the different groups, schools and community organizations who are a big part of our Adirondack Phantoms home games? Find out how you can involve your school or organization in a fundraiser or group outing with the Phantoms by calling 518-480-3355.

The MacBoston Fire Department will face-off against the members of the FDNY/Hazmat1 and Rescue1 in a charity hockey game on March 22 before the Phantoms take on the Hartford Wolf Pack that evening. It's all part of Firefighters Appreciation Night with the Phantoms! We have partnered with MacBoston to help raise money throughout both games and have already raised over $2,000! MacBoston Truck 18 is a membership organization that promotes the brotherhood of fire service and keeps the memory of our fallen brothers and sisters alive. Special thanks to area fire stations already taking part including West Glens Falls, South Glens Falls, Gansevoort, Wilton, Queensbury, and Cossayuna.

The Phantoms have helped raise over $50,000 so far this season for local organizations, schools and charities. And we want to help give even more publicity and raise more funds for all of the great causes and groups in our region. At the upcoming Phantoms game on Saturday, March 29 will be a unique opportunity to raise awareness and funds for your organization including a table in the front lobby. Get your group in on the action by contacting Lindsay Borbolla of the Adirondack Phantoms at 518-480-3355 or email [email protected]

The Phantoms helped support a great cause at the Cancer Free Kids Bowling Fundraiser recently at King Pin Alley. The group raised $1100 that night and they're still going! The Cancer Free Kids group will be at our upcoming Phantoms game on Saturday, March 22. Fundraiser tickets available by calling 518-793-9606.

These groups are selling fundraiser or discount tickets for upcoming Phantoms games and will also be involved with tables in the front lobby and presenting fun promotions such as the Chuck-A-Puck.

25 Terrific Seasons

Glens Falls is celebrating its 25th season hosting an AHL team and in so doing now joins an elite group of just 9 other active markets who can make such a claim. It's a great hockey tradition with an old-school feel that began with the Adirondack Red Wings in 1979. In their 20-year tenure at the Glens Falls Civic Center through 1999, the Red Wings won four Calder Cups. The Adirondack Phantoms began play in Glens Falls in 2009-10 and are in their fifth season bringing exciting AHL action to the North Country.
