Colorado Mammoth News Release
Denver, Colo. â Tom Phair is wearing a Colorado Mammoth jersey â again â after being traded from the Anaheim Storm at the National Lacrosse League's trade deadline. Anaheim will receive a second round pick in the 2004 NLL draft.
Phair played for the Mammoth last season, recording career highs of games played (16), goals (11), points (21), and equaling his personal best with 10 assists. Phair signed with Anaheim earlier this year after failing to come to terms with the Mammoth during the off season. He has played seven games for the Storm this season, recording one assist while leading the team in penalty minutes.
"Tom is a fast, scrappy player and we're glad to have him back in Colorado," said Steve Govett, Colorado Mammoth general manager. "He's got a gritty attitude that will help as the Mammoth heads for the playoffs."
Phair is in his eighth season in the NLL, having spent three seasons each in Buffalo and Philadelphia before coming to Colorado last year.
