PRINCE GEORGE, BC- The Prince George Cougars are excited to announce "Minor Sports Day" on Sunday, October 21st, when they face the Swift Current Broncos at the CN Centre, with puck drop at 2 o'clock.
The Cougars are inviting every minor sports team and organization in Prince George and surrounding area, to the Cougars game on Sunday afternoon against the defending WHL Champion Broncos.
Teams and minor sports organizations are being offered special group pricing, which includes Triple O's vouchers for every ticket purchased. FREE Kiosk space is also being offered to minor sports organizations on the concourse, to promote their league or organization. The Cougars are encouraging teams to wear their uniforms, as they will be recognized with special messaging on the video scoreboard throughout the game.
That's not all. The sports group with the most tickets purchased, will win $500 towards their team or organization!
Prior to puck drop, the Cougars will be recognizing goaltender Taylor Gauthier for his gold medal win at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August. Gauthier backstopped Team Canada to a win over Sweden in the gold medal game in Edmonton, Alberta. The Cougars will also be selling limited edition Taylor Gauthier t-shirts at the game.
Immediately following the game, the Cougars will be signing autographs for fans on the concourse at Section Y.
