Petes Take Part in Outdoor Practice

The Peterborough Petes are excited to announce that they will be holding an outdoor practice on Monday February 14th, 2011in Buckhorn, Ontario. The unique event will take place at 2pm at the brand new Buckhorn Sportsplex located beside the Buckhorn Community Centre. This event will be weather permitting and a decision on the weather will be made on Monday by noon.

The entire school population from Buckhorn Public School will be attending the practice. It's part of an exciting week for students and residents of Buckhorn who will also be invited to take in the Petes vs. Kingston Frontenacs game on Thursday February 17th, 2011. All students and area residents will be able to purchase discounted tickets ($12) to the game using a special promotional code of "Buckhorn" at the Peterborough Memorial Centre Box Office or on-line at https://tickets.memorialcentre.ca/Online/.

The outdoor practice also unofficially kicks off Heritage Day events happening in Buckhorn that week. Most events including free skating and outdoor hockey will take place on Saturday February 19th, 2011.

Buckhorn is the hometown of Petes overage forward Justin Larson. Larson is excited about the event and in fact will be taking part in the Buckhorn Public School's Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser earlier in the day.

Following the outdoor practice Mainstreet Landing in Buckhorn will host the entire Petes team for dinner.
