Petes Sink Otters to Sweep Weekend

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Otters 3-1 in Erie on Saturday night, sweeping their three games in three days weekend. Peterborough's record improves to 19-6-1-1 to remain in sole possession of first place in the OHL.

After Hayden Fowler opened scoring for Erie. The Petes responded with three straight goals from Michael Little (4), Zach Gallant (14), and Mason McTavish (15), with Gallant's highlight reel tally garnering national attention.

Tucker Robertson recorded his third multi-point game of the season with two helpers. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev and Liam Kirk had single assists.

Final shots were 39-23 in favour of the Otters. Peterborough's fifth ranked power play was 0/2 and their fifth ranked penalty kill was 4/4. Hunter Jones made 38 saves in his 17th win of the season.

The Petes will have another three in three next weekend, first hosting the London Knights on Thursday, December 5 at 7:05pm for Teddy Bear Toss night. They'll then play a home-and-home with the Frontencs on Friday, December 6 at 7:00pm in Kingston and on Saturday, December 7 at 7:05pm in Peterborough for Girls Hockey Night.
