
Petes Earn Point in Shootout Loss to Rival Generals

(Peterborough, ON) - The Oshawa Generals came back from a three goal deficit before defeating the Petes 4-3 in a shootout at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Thursday night.
Akil Thomas (20), Zach Gallant (30), and Liam Kirk (20) scored for the Petes before the Generals scored three unanswered goals.
Gallant assisted twice, while Thomas, Jack York, Mason McTavish, and Matt McNamara had single helpers.
Final shots were 40-31 in favour of the Petes, with Hunter Jones making 37 saves. Peterborough went 1/1 on the power play and 1/2 on the penalty kill.
The Petes return to action on home ice on Sunday, March 1 at 2:05pm when they host the Barrie Colts for the only time this season. Fans are invited to bring their skates and helmets for a free post-game skate with the Petes.
