The Windsor Spitfires coming into tonight's game were on a six-game winless streak at home, on Thursday were looking to change their fortunes when the Soo came to town. Head Coach Trevor Letowski commented on what tonight and the next few games mean to the team.
"We're well aware of our recent struggles at home recently. Earlier in the season, we were finding ways to win tight games, and lately, that script has flipped." Letowski continued. "With 6 of our next seven games at home, we're looking at this chunk of games as a great opportunity to build momentum."
The Spitfires coming into Thursday's game were 4-0-0 against the Soo this season.
In the first period, the Soo got on the board first just under eight minutes into the frame on the powerplay. However, the Spitfires responded just six minutes later.
