
Petes Clinch Playoff Spot with 4-2 Bounce Back Win in Kingston

(Kingston, ON) - On Friday, March 10, the Peterborough Petes traveled to Kingston to wrap up the season series with the Kingston Frontenacs. The Petes won the game 4-2 and clinched a spot in the 2023 OHL Playoffs.
This will be the Petes seventh trip to the OHL Playoffs in the last 10 seasons (not including the canceled season in 2020-21. The Petes did clinch a spot in the 2019-20 playoffs, but the postseason was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Tucker Robertson, Avery Hayes, and Brennan Othmann all led the way for the Petes with a goal and an assist each. Owen Beck added two assists. Jonathan Melee scored, and Connor Lockhart and Gavin White each picked up an assist. Michael Simpson stopped 24/26 for his 24th win of the season.

The Petes are back in action on Tuesday night when they welcome the Mississauga Steelheads to the PMC for their St. Patrick's Day Game. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
