Petes Auction Off Bogosian Jersey

The Peterborough Petes are pleased to announce that they will be auctioning off former Pete and current Atlanta Thrashers Assistant Captain Zach Bogosians autographed game worn rookie Peterborough Petes home white jersey. from the auction will be donated to the Peterborough Petes/Canadian Cancer Societys Pink in the Rink event on Thursday February 11th, 2010. All funds raised will go directly to breast cancer research and awareness in the Peterborough area.

Zach was selected 19th overall by the Petes in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection and played for the Petes from 2006-2008 before being selected 3rd overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. Bogosian joined the Thrashers as an 18 year old recording 9 goals and 19 points in 47 games as a rookie. In just his second season in the NHL Zach was named an Assistant Captain for the Thrashers and to date this season has recorded 6 goals and 8 points in 14 games. During his 2 years in Peterborough Zach was named the teams rookie of the year, MVP, as well as Top Defenceman twice. He recorded 18 goals and 94 points in 127 games as a Pete.
