Peterborough Petes Recognize Logan Burns as this Week's Local Minor Hockey Volunteer

November 26, 2020 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) - Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - Logan Burns, the trainer for the U-16 Peterborough Minor Hockey Council (PMHC) Petes is recognized as this week's exceptional minor hockey volunteer. The Petes want to celebrate local minor hockey volunteers for their contribution to the planning, organizing and execution of local minor hockey's return to the play this season.

More than ever before, trainers are one of the most crucial roles on a hockey team, ensuring all Covid-19 protocols are followed and prioritizing the safety for all players on and off the ice.

Although Burns' primary responsibility and top priority is safety, he is celebrated for going the extra stride to make sure players reach their full potential on the ice. He's celebrated by players for going to practice with a positive attitude and fostering an environment of fun.

Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations who acknowledges that this hockey season has required additional time and effort to ensure a safe return for players to the rink.

The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form .

Every Thursday Petes fans are encouraged to tune in to the Peterborough Petes Facebook page for TNL. Each episode of TNL features an exclusive Q&A with special celebrity guests, a musical performance, cooking segments, and merchandise offers.
