Peoria Walk off Winners in Game Two

(Peoria-IL) Peoria scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning giving the Chiefs a 2-1 win in game two of a three game series at Dozer Park in Peoria.

Pitching was the story for both teams in game two. The game would not see a run until seventh inning. Bees' starter Yency Almonte tossed three scoreless innings before giving way to the bullpen that picked up the slack.

The Bees' broke through in the seventh when Trevor Gretzky doubled and came into score on a Ryan Dalton single to center, putting the Bees up 1-0.

Cole Swanson tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts preserving the Bees' lead.

Bees' closer Alan Busenitz walked a pair of Chiefs with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning. After a strikeout, pinch hitter Steve Bean singled to left scoring Robelys Reyes tying the game at one. The next batter, Michael Schulze ended the game with a single to center, scoring Juan Herrera and giving the Chiefs a 2-1 victory.

Peoria reliver Chris Perry (4-0) picked up the win while Bees' closer Alan Busenitz (3-4) was charged with the loss.

The Burlington Bees (46-39) and the Peoria Chiefs (48-37) wrap up the three game series Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Dozer Park in Peoria. Clint Sharp makes the start for the Bees against Rob Kaminsky.
