Pensacola Ice Pilots complete trade with Augusta Lynx for forward Dan Sullivan

PENSACOLA, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, have completed a trade with their Southeast Division rival Augusta Lynx today (Thursday) acquiring the rights to forward Dan Sullivan for goaltender Brett Jaeger.

Sullivan, a native of Weston, Ontario Canada, has played a total of 92 games with the Lynx where he collected 23 goals and 30 assists for 53 points and 275 penalty minutes. In the 2004-2005 season prior to his arrival in Augusta, Sullivan played with the Louisiana Ice Gators and the Reading Royals where he had eight points (4 goals and 4 assists) and 37 penalty minutes in 20 games.

"We don't want teams to come into Pensacola and have an easy night," said Ice Pilots Head Coach George Dupont. "When we went to Augusta, Dan was a hard guy to play against and I respected the way he played. We missed that physical element last year and I also look for him to also contribute offensively."

Sullivan has American Hockey League experience where he played six games (2002-2003 and 2003-2004 seasons) for the Lowell Lock Monsters and had one assist and 14 penalty minutes. The six-foot-two inch 230 pound right-winger has played in 45 ECHL games with the former Roanoke Express and Baton Rouge Kingfish where he had eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points and 113 penalty minutes.

The Ice Pilots are sending goaltender Brett Jaeger to the Lynx after he was acquired along with Derek Krestanovich from the Fresno Falcons in June to complete a trade for Chris Heid.

Jaeger, a native of Manning, Alberta, Canada spent two seasons in Fresno notching a mark of 40-15-14 and a 2.56 Goals Against Average and a Save Percentage of .920. He was an ECHL All-Star in 2004-2005 where he set team records with a 2.49 GAA and a .927 save percentage.
