
Penguins Reassign Forward Bobby Russell to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have reassigned forward Bobby Russell to their East Coast Hockey League affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers. The announcement was made today by Penguins' Head Coach Glenn Patrick.
Russell, 24, has collected three points (2+1) and 12 penalty minutes in 19 games with the Penguins this season. He was recalled from Wheeling on January 25.
The 6'2", 205-pound native of Surrey, British Columbia has recorded 19 points (15+4) and 20 penalty minutes in 20 games this season with the Nailers.
Last season, he played in 61 games with Norfolk (AHL) last season, recording 12 points (5+7) and 20 penalty minutes.
Russell was signed as a free agent by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a two-way (AHL-ECHL) contract on October 9, 2002.
With the roster move, the Penguins now have 21 players on their roster - two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 12 forwards.
The Penguins (22-23-3-3, 50 points; Third-place, South Division) host former Penguin Brendan Walsh and the San Antonio Rampage (23-19-8-2, 56 points; Second-place, West Division) tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza.
Approximately 44 tickets are still available for the game and a single seats remain for Saturday's game against the Rampage.
Following the two games this weekend against San Antonio, the Penguins' next home game is on Wednesday, February 12, when they host former Penguin Dennis Bonvie and the Binghamton Senators (7:05 p.m.).
Approximately 292 tickets are still available for the game against the Senators. The Penguins have sold out their last 85 home games (league-record) played in Wilkes-Barre.
